Hello, my name is Bobby and I am a professional Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. I am the proud owner of the largest hypnotherapy practice in Cheltenham, The Regency Practice.
I trained at the accredited Clifton Practice in Bristol and I am registered with the relevant bodies including the AfSFH (Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy) and the NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy).

What to expect from your hypnotherapy session
A hypnotherapy session will only concentrate on talking about what’s been good about your week. During our sessions I will teach you how the brain works so that you can understand what cause’s the perceived problems in our lives, what makes us feel the way we do in these situations and what we need to do to overcome them. Week by week you will take little steps in order to reach your goal.
Hypnosis is extremely relaxing and is done with positive guided imagination. I do not perform stage hypnosis. My clients are always aware of what is happening and are able to react and respond at all times.

The hypnotherapy session will begin with a positive chat about the week and I will ask the “miracle question”. This is designed to help you think of solutions to your problem.
What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a brain based therapy that applies the very best and latest advance in neuroscience. I use some of the best techniques from NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and Hypnosis to help clients overcome their issue within a relatively short period of time.
To help you understand the therapy I have explained below the three parts;
NLP is used to help study the client’s attitude and language. Effective communication is key. I have studied Neuro-linguistic programming in order to help communicate more effectively with my clients.
CBT is used to help you understand how you’re thinking and feelings are all interconnected. Negative thinking can have an impact and affect our lives. This can become a vicious circle. This is especially true with emotion eating. For instance, you may want to lose weight but the minute you feel sad because of your weight you tend to comfort eat. By doing this you may feel great in the short term but in the long term you will be disappointed in yourself and unfortunately, you won’t lose weight, which was the initial problem.
Hypnosis is used to relax the client, naturally reducing anxiety and allowing the rational part of the brain to create a solution.
